Leicester teen charged with felony weapon count

LEICESTER:  Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of a Leicester man for felony gun charges in the Town of Leicester. On June 5, 2016 the Sheriff's Office received a complaint concerning Ryan Bonadonna, 19 from Leicester, posting a video of himself on snapchat with a loaded firearm in a vehicle and discharging the firearm on a roadway. Deputies located Bonadonna and allege that the teen had been in possession of a .357 revolver owned by his father and had discharged the firearm while on Brian Road in the Town of Leicester.  The Sheriff said Bonadonna had the gun without the knowledge of his father. Bonadonna was arrested by Deputy Jason Butterbrodt of the Sheriff's Office for Criminal Possession of a Firearm, a class E Felony.  The NYS DEC Police assisted and charged Bonadonna for Discharging a Firearm on a Roadway.

Bonadonna was transported to Central Booking at the Livingston County Jail where he was processed and detained for arraignment. Bonadonna was arraigned on June 6th and was held on $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond. Also assisting on the investigation were Sergeant Matthew Orman, Deputy Martin Herkimer and Deputy Ryan Swanson.
