Seven minor injuries in Ceres Township crash

Seven people sustained minor injuries when two vehicles crashed Thursday evening at the intersection of Route 44 and Bells Run Road in Ceres Township. State police said 21-year-old Jacob Bogardus of Shinglehouse was slowing to make a left turn when the truck behind him started to pass. The impact disabled both vehicles. The other driver was identified as 17-year-old Bernie Kerswill of Shinglehouse. Troopers said the passengers ranged in age from 1 to 23. No one required hospital treatment. Kerswill was issued a traffic ticket.
