SP Amity- Two men arrested for DWI after Fleeing from Troopers

On June 26, 2016 at 2:15 a.m., Troopers arrested James A. Wilson II, 21 of Wellsville, NY and Zachary J. Wiech, 19 of Scio, NY both for Unlawfully Fleeing 3rd, Driving While Intoxicated and other traffic violations.
Troopers observed a gray Subaru following a white Ford F350 that failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection of Blouvet Road and Howard Road in the Town of Friendship. Troopers activated emergency lights and siren and attempted to initiate a traffic stop and both vehicles failed to comply.  Both vehicles turned onto State Route 275 in the Town of Wirt. A pursuit was initiated and both vehicles continued southbound on St-275 until they observed a Village of Bolivar Police vehicle. Both vehicles complied and stopped just north of the Village of Richburg.  The operator of the Subaru, James A. Wilson II and the operator of the Ford, Zachary J. Wiech were administer Standard Field Sobriety Tests and subsequently failed.  Both were transported to SP Amity and processed.  Wilson recording a 0.08% BAC and Wiech recording a 0.12% BAC.
Both subjects were arraigned at the Town of Friendship Court and released to a third party.
