Steuben man sentenced for Almond crime

In Allegany County court, Timothy W. Jackson, 25, of Avoca, avoided jail time for his felony conviction. After pleading guilty to felony DWI, Jackson was sentenced to five years probation, fined $1,000, has his licensed revoked and was ordered to use an ignition interlock in the future. Prosecutors said that in January, Jackson was driving drunk eastbound in the westbound lane of I-86 in the town of Almond.
