Steuben meth raid sends Bath woman to jail

On June 18, 2016, State Police in Bath conducted a methamphetamine investigation. State Police Investigator Thomas J. Khork said that during the investigation, troopers seized multiple items allegedly utilized in the unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine. As a result of the investigation, Amy M. Nichols, 40, of 7396 County Route 89, Bath, NY was charged with Unlawful Manufacture Methamphetamine 3rd, a class “D” Felony. The New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team (CCSERT) responded to the scene, and removed the hazardous materials. Nichols was arraigned in the Town of Bath Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail on $6,000 bail.
