UPDATED Obituary: Susan J. Feldbauer DeRock, 66, Angelica

Angelica - Susan was born December 11, 1949 to loving parents, the late Robert Feldbauer and Doris Rowe Feldbauer, who survives. On March 28, 1986, in the Angelica United Methodist Church, she married the love of her life, C. Gary DeRock, who predeceased her in 2011.
Susan graduated from Angelica Central School and SUNY Geneseo. After obtaining her teaching degree Susan began her career at Belfast Central School as an elementary and middle school teacher, retiring after 33 years. Susan was passionate about her work with her students and is remembered by many as their favorite teacher.
Susan was a musically talented vocalist and pianist. She enjoyed many hobbies, including crafting, sewing and baking birthday cakes for the special young people in her life. Susan enjoyed singing in several area choirs over the years as well as singing in the Angelica United Methodist Church choir, where she was a member.
Susan enjoyed her family most of all. She spent every moment she could supporting the young people in her life. Over the years she relished in watching her grandchildren playing sports and was their number one fan. Susan never missed a dance or music recital, a graduation or concert. She was a proud grandma and aunt.
Susan or Sue-Sue as she was affectionately known will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and great love and devotion to the ones she loved. She leaves a legacy to be admired and emulated.
Susan was predeceased by her older brother, Jeffrey (Sue A.) Feldbauer in 1995.
In addition to her mother Susan is survived by her children: Danielle DeRock, Darcelle (Jeff) Hyslip, and Darren DeRock. Special nieces and nephew Shelly (Scott) Daniel, Jeanine (Chris) Rose and Aaron Feldbauer. Grandchildren : Cody (Brittany) Scholes, Devan, Dylan and Carson Harrington and Jaden and Ashden Hyslip and Madison DeRock. Great Grandchildren : Kaine and Karlin Harrington and Rae, Randal and Reese Scholes. Great nephews and niece: Braxton, Harper and Pierce Rose.
The family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday (June 29, 2016) from 6-8 p.m. at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home 101 West Avenue in Angelica. A Funeral service will be on Thursday (June 30, 2016) at the Angelica United Methodist Church on the Park Circle at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Oramel Cemetery.
