Wellsville Instructional Baseball-Softball Camp

The Wellsville Instructional Baseball-Softball Camp will run from June 27 to June 30 for boys and girls ages 8-15 years old.
The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day starting in the gym of the  Wellsville Elementary School. The cost of the camp is $90 per player, with a family wishing to send two or more campers for a one-week camp pay only $80 per child ($160 for two children and $240 for three children).
Campers get a free t-shirt and each day get a free lunch. There will be a camp store selling drinks and snacks as well.
Wellsville varsity baseball coach Dennis Miles is the lead instructor for the camp, along with players and coaches from the Wellsville High School program. Miles, a graduate of Brockport State College, has a career record of 684-228 with a record 12 Section V titles.
The camp stresses the four basis of baseball and softball — hitting, pitching, catching, and fielding — along with bunting, base running, base stealing, sliding, glove selection, outfield play, cut-offs, double plays, run downs, and game situations. Campers will be videotaped while hitting to identify strengths and areas that need improvement.
Campers should bring a baseball glove, sneakers, shorts, sweats (for sliding), and a bat — if possible. Bats also will be provided, as well as a free lunch.
