DOT plans paving project for route 417

The New York State Department of Transportation today announced that pavement recycling work will begin on state Route 417 on Monday, July 25, 2016, weather permitting.  The project will extend from the Cattaraugus County line in the town of Genesee to approximately 0.1 miles east of the intersection of state Route 417 with PA Route 44 in the hamlet of Ceres, for a total of approximately 2.3 miles.  The project will also include approximately 125 feet of PA Route 44 to the Pennsylvania line.  The scope of this project includes the town of Genesee in Allegany County.  An asphalt pavement course will be placed in the same location at a later time, weather permitting.  A new advisory will be issued at that time.
