Doris M. Rowe Feldbauer
Doris passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 2, 2016. She was born May 17, 1929 and lived her life in Angelica, New York and was a graduate of the Angelica Central School. On September 28, 1947, Doris married Robert Feldbauer, who predeceased her in 2015.
Doris was well known in her community as a kind and generous woman. She was very active in the Angelica community and was proud of her hometown.
Doris’ strong faith led her to be tirelessly involved with the Angelica United Methodist Church, where she was a lifetime member. She spent many years as a church leader for children’s programs and singing in the choir.
Her many years as Library Director of the Angelica Free Library brought her much joy, she loved reading and bringing the joy of reading to others, especially to children.
Doris was a long time member of the Progress Club of Angelica and truly cherished her time with the ladies of the club.
While Doris had many roles that were important to her over the years there was nothing more important to her than her family. Doris was a devoted wife and mother. She was known to include many into her family circle and keep them close. She loved being a mother, grandmother and aunt. Most recently taking on the role of great-grandmother, a role that brought her much happiness.
Doris is survived by a daughter-in-law, Sue Feldbauer; grandchildren, Shelly (Scott) Daniel, Jeanine (Chris) Rose, Aaron Feldbauer, Danielle DeRock, Darcelle (Jeff) Hyslip, Darren DeRock; great-grandchildren, Braxton, Harper and Pierce Rose, Cody (Brittany) Scholes, Devan, Dylan and Carson Harrington, Jaden and Ashden Hyslip and Madison DeRock; many beloved nieces and nephews.
Doris was also predeceased by her parents Layton and Winifred Rowe; a son, Jeffrey L. Feldbauer; a daughter, Susan Feldbauer DeRock; a brother, Dodworth Rowe and son-in-law, C. Gary DeRock.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday July 7, 2016 at 11a.m. at the Angelica United Methodist Church on Park Circle, with Rev. Stephen Crowell officiating. Burial will be in Until the Day Dawn.
