Palmer Opera House hosts events to raise funds for local organizations

Photo: All Veterans in attendance at the Palmer Opera House’s “A Patriotic Salute to America’s Veterans” were honored for their service.
The Palmer Opera house hosted two events recently to raise funds for local community projects and organization.
During dairy week in June, the Palmer Opera House hosted their first euchre tournament with proceeds to benefit the Cuba Volunteer Fire Department. Over a dozen players came together for a fun night of cards.  A donation of $115 was made to the fire department. The opera house would like to thank everyone who participated and they hope to host more euchre tournaments again in the future.
On July 11th, The Palmer hosted “A Musical Patriotic Salute to America’s Veterans”, at which all local Veterans were recognized  and honored.  Representation of each branch of the military was present.  Local musicians and singers entertained the crowd with a variety of patriotic songs, including a closing group sing-a-long.  Donations were taken for Cuba’s Living Veteran’s Memorial project, and a donation of $305 was made by the Cuba Friends of Architecture on behalf of the Palmer Opera House.  This musical salute takes place annually around the Fourth of July.  For more information on the Memorial Project please contact the Cuba Chamber of Commerce.

The Palmer Opera House is a non-profit organization which is sustained by the Cuba Friends of Architecture.  For more information on the opera house, rental information, and how you can volunteer, please visit, or call them at (585) 209- 5512.
