Wellsville: Town approves local law on commercial fire inspections
The Wellsville Town Board Wednesday night approved a local law dealing with fire inspections on commercials properties. Town Supervisor Don LaForge said the law was needed to bring the town into compliance with state regulations. He said the 'gap' was discovered by Code Enforcement Officer Rob Marsh. Previously, commercials properties were not required to have annual fire inspections under town law. With the change, annual inspections will be required for all properties designated as commercial. Inspections fees will range up to about $500.
