Allegany County Court: Man admits to rape of young girls-avoids prison

A forty-four year old man from state route 305 in Black Creek has avoided prison time for sex crimes against two young girls who weren't old enough to drive a car. In Allegany County court on August 5th, John G. Treusdell was sentenced to 10 years probation for conviction to the crimes of felony rape 2nd, sexual abuse 3rd and endangering the welfare of a child. He had originally been indicted on charges of rape 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree, three counts each of unlawfully dealing with a child and child endangerment as well as sexual abuse and criminal sex act.
The crime, prosecutors said, occurred in 2013 and 2014 in Hume and Angelica, when Treusdell gave vodka to girls, ages 14 and 15, then had sexual intercourse and oral sex with them.
Judge Thomas Brown also labeled the man a Level 2 Sex offender and ordered him to pay $2,775.
