CUBA — Jonathan Bennett did not lead a healthy childhood. An infection took away his ability to run without pain or a gait and later became so bad he was in a wheelchair. There were surgeries and rehab.
He had an option as he was turning 10, work incredibly hard at physical therapy and endure the pain of doctors visits, or possibly not be able to walk in the future.
The Cuba Police Department lifted his spirits higher than any medication could have, and the chance to become a police officer took a positive attitude toward his condition and made it even better.
