Duane M. Hooper, Farmersville Station, Loving Father & Grand Father
Of Back St. died Sunday (Aug. 28, 2016) at his home with family by his side, after a lengthy illness. Born March 28, 1943 in Farmersville he was the son of Morris and Margaret Norton Hooper. On Oct. 7, 1967 he married Linda A. Wheeler.
Mr. Hooper was a graduate of Rushford High School, a former Supervisor for the town of Farmersville, and was employed at AVX of Olean from which he retired.
Surviving is a daughter Carrie Haefner of Delevan, and a son Eric (Mindy) Hooper, of Farmersville, grand children Noah Haefner, Jessica (Haefner) Hoxie, Derrick Hooper, and Nakayla Hooper, and a grandson, a sister Marilyn Bednarski of Houghton, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Maureen Cottrill.
A private grave side service will be held in Siloam Cemetery in Farmersville. A celebration of his life will be held at the Hooper House, on Saturday (Sept. 3, 2016), 952 Elton Rd. Farmersville at 3 p.m. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
