Pipe Replacement Set for Sept. 7 in Allegany Township

A one day pipe replacement project will take place Sept. 7 in Allegany Township, Potter County, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT). The work zone is located on Route 244 near the village of Andrews Settlement, with work hours set for 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The pipe replacement work will be done by a crew from PennDOT Potter County Maintenance, with all work weather dependent. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes around the closure. If work progress allows, PennDOT will re-open the roadway before the 3:30 completion time. Local residents will be able to access their homes during the replacement work.
