The Potter County Education Council, in partnership with the Northern Potter School District, recognized 15 students (Northern Potter-6, Coudersport – 7, Port – 1, Brockway-1) for participating in the T.M.I Camp. The camp was held from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on June 27 – 30 and 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on July 1. The camp provided a range of engaging, hands-on activities for students in grades 5-9. Students learned about rocket telemetry using Android; object-based coding using MinecraftEdu; and 3D modeling and printing using Makerbot. Additionally, they had the opportunity to learn about unmanned aerial vehicles and micro-controllers. The instructor for the camp was Brent Bryant, NP Technology Director.
The Education Council would also like to thank First Citizens for its financial support through their EITC contribution. Their generous support allowed us to offer the camp free of charge.
