Alfred University’s Career Development Center will host the annual Engineering Career Fair on Thursday, October 6, 2016, from noon - 3:00 pm in the Joyce- Walton Center for Health and Wellness, adjacent to McLane Center on North Main Street in Alfred.
This event is open to students, alumni, and community members, free of charge. Professional dress is required for this event and participants are asked to bring several copies of their resume. The companies who are represented will be recruiting for internships, co-op, and permanent positions for college-educated candidates.
The Engineering Career Fair is being co-sponsored by Corning Incorporated and Unifrax I LLC. Candidates will be able to meet with representatives from these companies along with more than 30 other companies represented.
To promote an even higher level of networking and recruitment, an invitation-only networking reception will take place after the fair from 6-7:30pm at the Inamori Kyocera Fine Ceramics Museum at Binns-Merrill Hall. Employers who selected the networking opportunity, as well as faculty, staff and administration will be present along with an candidates who receive a “golden invitation” to attend.
Employers seeking doctoral, master’s and bachelor’s degree candidates will be present to speak with and recruit candidates for their current openings.
