Allegany County: Cuba men face felony charges in wave of burglaries

Two Cuba men are in the Allegany County Jail facing scores of felonies stemming from a wave of burglaries in Allegany County over the past two months.
Joseph M. Kovacs, 25, is charged with five counts of felony burglary. State police said the crimes occurred in New Hudson July 28, Caneadea August 7, Rushford August 7, New Hudson August 29 and Caneadea August 29. He was remanded to jail on $10,000 cash bail.
Charged with two felony counts of burglary is Jason C. Middaugh, age 32. Troopers accused him of break-in's in New Hudson and Caneadea, both on August 29. He was sent to the Allegany County Jail on $10,000 cash bail.
