Allegany County Sheriff seeks permission to make promotions and create several new positions

Allegany County Sheriff Rick Whitney would like to promote some staff and create some new least according to the agenda for the Public Safety meeting to be held September 7th. According to the agenda, Sheriff Whitney wants to promote two Corrections Officers to Deputy Sheriff. The Sheriff is also seeking permission to create four new full time 911 Dispatcher jobs (already included in the budget). He also wants to create a fill a Forensic Crisis Counselor position. The service was previously provided by an outside contractor.
