Allegany County Sheriff’s Office supervisors attend Statewide Training Program

Shawn Grusendorf and Sgt. Shawn Mahoney of the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office joined Fifty-one other Law Enforcement Supervisors from 29 sheriff’s offices around the state in attending specialized training for Law Enforcement Division Supervisors at the Gideon Putnam Hotel in Saratoga Springs, NY this week.
The three-day program, sponsored and organized by the New York State Sheriffs’ Association and the New York State Sheriffs' Institute, provides participants with training in the latest advances in law enforcement.
The law enforcement supervisors are responsible for criminal and traffic law enforcement, sex offender management, investigations, and administrative matters for their divisions.
Sessions included:
       Civil Service Appointment Process for Deputy Sheriffs,
Armed Barricade/Kidnapping Case Study
Human Trafficking Case Investigation Process
Missing Girl Case Study
The New York State Sheriffs’ Association, Inc. (NYSSA) is a not-for-profit corporation, formed in 1934, for the purpose of assisting New York’s Sheriffs in the efficient and effective delivery of services to the public. It comprises all 58 elected and appointed Sheriffs in New York State.
