Almond man arrested by Livingston deputies

INTERSTATE 390: Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of an Almond man for driving under the influence of drugs after a citizen's report of erratic driving. On September 21st at about 3:35 p.m., Deputy Brandan Flickner of the Sheriff’s Office STOP DWI Unit was dispatched to a complaint of a pickup truck driving erratically on Interstate 390.
The Deputy Sheriff was able to locate the pickup which had just exited Interstate 390 onto Routes 5&20 in the Town of Avon. A traffic stop was conducted to investigate why the operator was allegedly driving in that manner.  The driver was identified as 45 year old Jeffrey Dobson.
Following the roadside investigation Dobson was placed into custody for operating the vehicle under the influence of drugs.    Dobson was transported to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office headquarters in Geneseo for a drug evaluation. Dobson was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired by Drugs and also issued a traffic ticket. Dobson was transported to Central Booking at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.   Dobson was arraigned in Avon Town Court before Justice Peter Piampiano on September 22nd.   The Judge held Dobson on $500 cash or $,1000 bond.
