Caneadea man takes pot deal...avoids prison

A Caneadea man avoided prison this morning by making a deal with prosecutors. Thomas J. Bromstead, 27, of Route 19 in Caneadea passed on a felony count and pleaded guilty to misdemeanor attempted criminal sale of marijuana. He was originally charged with felony pot sales, according to District Attorney Keith Slep. In court today, Bromstead was sentenced to three years probation.
