Cuba woman injured in early morning car crash

State police say a Cuba woman was injured this morning when her car went off Back River Road in Scio and into some tree's. The crash was reported at 4:42 a.m. Erica E. Buckley, 23, was treated at Jones Memorial Hospital. It took responders from Belmont fire and Amity Rescue some extra time to find the car. The vehicle traveled off the roadway and wasn't immediately visible from the highway. The Allegany County 911 Center kept the woman on the phone while she described when she could hear sirens or see flashing light. The crash impacted the vehicle in such a manner preventing her from freely exiting the vehicle. According to radio reports, she was also unable to sound the car horn since the airbag deployed. After about 10-15 minutes, a Belmont fire chief was able to hone in on the woman. Radio reports also indicated that the woman may have been run off the road by another vehicle, potentially causing the crash. 911 dispatchers attempted to plot the vehicle locations, but the information only provided a general location. It was a job well done by the 911 crew, fire and EMS.
