Deputies make meth bust in Town of Genesee

Allegany County Sheriff Rick Whitney reports that on September 7th, 2016, Investigators from the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit assisted the Allegany County Probation Department with an unannounced home visit in the Town of Genesee.  During the home visit, Officers allegedly located materials known to be used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine outside the residence.  Officers executed a search warrant and the following suspects were arrested for the following charges.

- Jeremy N. Beck, Age 38 of Portville for (1) Count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree (Knife), (1) Count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree (Gun), (1) Count of Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the 3rd Degree, (1) Count of Unlawful Disposal of Methamphetamine Laboratory Materials and (1) Count of Tampering with Physical Evidence.
-  Gerald L. Beck, Age 62 of Portville for (1) Count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree (Knife), (1) Count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree (Gun), (1) Count of Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the 3rd Degree, (1) Count of Unlawful Disposal of Methamphetamine Laboratory Materials and (1) Count of Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Both suspects were processed and then transported to the Town of Genesee Court where they were each remanded to the Allegany County Jail, Jeremy N. Beck on $25,000.00 Cash Bail or $50,000.00 Insurance Bond and Gerald L. Beck without bail.  Both suspects are to reappear in the Town of Genesee Court on September 13th, 2016 at 1300hrs for additional court action.
The New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and Uniformed Troopers assisted with the investigation.
