Livingston County District Attorney report - Sept. 22, 2016

After presentation by Victor D. Rowcliffe, First Assistant District Attorney, the following cases were handled in the Livingston County Court before the Honorable Dennis S. Cohen on September 22, 2016.

DARYL J. ALLEN, age 27, of Perry was sentenced on a conviction of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (B Felony) to 1 year in state prison plus 1 year post-release supervision. He was also ordered to pay a $325 penalty assessment and a $50 DNA fee.

THOMAS E. BENSON, age 51, of Livonia was sentenced on violation of probation to 1 to 3 years in state prison.

CALEB M. BINNERT, age 41, of Livonia pled guilty to Sexual Offender Failure to Register/Verify (E Felony) and the matter was adjourned to January 5, 2017.

ALEXANDER M. GRAVESANDY, age 30, of Mt. Morris pled guilty to Criminal Contempt in the First Degree (E Felony) and the matter was adjourned to November 17, 2016.

CASSANDRA N. GROSS, age 22, of Dansville was sentenced on a conviction of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree (D Felony) to 1 year in the Livingston County jail. She was also ordered to pay restitution and a $50 DNA fee.

DENNIS L. KNAPP, age 56, of Leroy was charged with Aggravated Driving with .18 of One Percent or More of Alcohol in His Blood (E Felony), Driving While Intoxicated (E Felony), No Seat Belt, and Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle. He was arraigned with his attorney, pled not guilty, and the matter was adjourned to October 20, 2016. Bail was set at $5,000.

THOMAS P. LICKLITER, age 36, of Lima was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (E Felony), Wide Turn, Failure to Keep Right, Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle, Refusal to Submit to a Field Screening Test, and Unlicensed Operator. He was arraigned with his attorney, pled not guilty, and the matter was adjourned to October 27, 2016. He was released on electronic home monitoring and his license was suspended pending prosecution.

TERRY S. MATHEWS, age 26, of Bloomfield, charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree (E Felony), Driving While Intoxicated (E Felony), Suspended Registration, Operating a Motor Vehicle without an Ignition Interlock Device (Misdemeanor), and Failure to Keep Right. He appeared with his attorney and the matter was adjourned to October 20, 2016. AMY E. PITTMAN, age 44, of Mt. Morris was sentenced on a violation of probation to 1 year in the Livingston County jail.

SHANE M. SHAFFER, age 27, of Perry, charged with Driving While Intoxicated (D Felony) and Speeding, appeared with his attorney and the matter was adjourned to December 8, 2016.

LISA M. SIMONS, age 34, of Avon, charged with Grand Larceny Third Degree (D Felony), appeared with her attorney and the matter was adjourned to October 20, 2016.

MAKAYLA E. STICKLEY, age 19 of Leicester was sentenced on a conviction of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree (E Felony) to 1 to 3 years in state prison. She was also ordered to pay a $325 surcharge, a $50 DNA fee, and restitution.

CRYSTAL D. SOPOROWSKI, age 37, of Addison, charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child (E Felony), Driving While Impaired by Drugs (Misdemeanor), Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Misdemeanor), and Failure to Stay in Lane, appeared with her attorney and the matter was adjourned to October 26, 2016 for a hearing.

CHRISTOPHER THOMPSON, age 30, of Honeoye Falls was sentenced on a conviction of Attempted Grand Larceny in the Third Degree (E Felony) to time served and 5 years probation. He was also ordered to pay a $325 surcharge, a $50 DNA fee, and restitution (to be determined.)
