More arrests on I-390

Press Release
INTERSTATE 390- Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports that two more arrests were made as a result of Operation Safe Interstate. On September 3rd at approximately 11:49 p.m. Deputy Shawn Whitford was assigned to Operation Safe Interstate. While on patrol on Interstate 390 Deputy Whitford said he observed a vehicle with an equipment violation. A traffic stop was initiated and the Deputy Sheriff allegedly observed the front seat passenger attempt to hide something between the passenger seat and the center console. The driver was identified as 40- year-old Stephanie DiSalvo from Nunda. The passenger was identified as 29-year-old Jeffrey Sullivan from Perry, NY. Deputy Whitford believed that DiSalvo may be under the influence and requested a STOP DWI Unit to the scene to assist. The investigation continued and a quantity of crack cocaine was allegedly located inside the vehicle. Jeffrey Sullivan was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree and transported to the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.  DiSalvo was put through field tests and at the conclusion of his roadside investigation, Deputy Brandon Flickner of the STOP DWI Unit, arrested DiSalvo for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.  DiSalvo was transported to the Sheriff's Office Headquarters in Geneseo for a complete drug evaluation. At the conclusion of his evaluation, it was Deputy Flickner's expert opinion as a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) that DiSalvo was operating the vehicle under the influence of a combination of drugs. She was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by drugs, along with Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. DiSalvo was transported to the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention. Both were arraigned in Geneseo Town Court on September 4th before Justice Houston.   The Judge did hold DiSalvo on $250 cash or $500 bond and held Sullivan also on $250 cash or $500 bond.
