October is a jammed packed month at the Palmer Opera House in Cuba NY.  Here are the event listings:

An Afternoon with Bob & Gena Decker

Bob and Gena first met doing musical theater together in Wellsville in 1999. Since then, as husband and wife and as part of the constantly evolving band Sound Foundation, they have developed an eclectic style that includes blues, bluegrass, folk, rock and roots music and tight harmonies. You are apt to hear songs by James Taylor, Queen, Paul Simon, and even George Michael! They love to include the history and meaning behind songs, creating a more personal listening experience for the audience. While Bob and Gena are musicians by night, they work in the educational world, Bob as a School Psychologist and Gena as a Kindergarten teacher.  (Palmer Opera House, 12 W Main St, Cuba.  2:00 PM, DONATION)

Contention at the Convention

The Palmer Opera House is excited to present their first play produced in house, an audience interactive murder mystery comedy- Contention at the Convention.  This election themed comedy will feature local talent, and the audience will be part of the action.
This Vote for your Villain event has four political parties vying for election as president.  The Rich and Famous Party candidate, Margerine Mongo, wants to outfit everyone with red shoes — and a good agent.  The Greenik Party leader Fleur de Lease promotes growing veggies.  Retroactive Party candidate, Willie Bygone wants to return to the old wild west days of horses and buggies.  And Rudolph Ritter of the BullDogmatic Party wants mandatory military training. Candidates and their campaign managers get entangled in sometimes nasty but comical repartee.  And this Convention has more than its share of intrigue and revealed secrets causing one of them to get — eliminated.  Light refreshments and desserts will be available for purchase.  (Palmer Opera House, 12 W Main St, Cuba, 7:00 PM,  $7 adults/ $12 couple PRESALE, $8/ $15 at the door)
