Portville woman faces parole and drug charges

A Portville woman was arrested Friday by the Olean Police Street Crimes Unit along with New York State Parole Officer Andy Dombeck. Rachael Y. Slawiak, 25, who gave Investigators an address of 4 Wellington Drive in Portville was taken into custody by NYS Parole for allegedly violating the terms of her Parole. Captain Robert Blovsky said Slawiak was then transported to the Olean Police Station for booking procedures for two felony counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree and one count of Criminal Possession of a controlled substance in the 4th degree (C Felony) and one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled substance in the 5th degree (D Felony). According to a press release, Investigators from the Street Crimes Unit had conducted controlled purchases of Suboxin and Fentnyl and the case was then presented to a Cattaraugus County Grand Jury by District Attorney Lori P. Rieman. The Honorable Judge Ploetz issued an arrest warrant for Slawiak based on the grand jury presentation. After her arrest, Slawiak was transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail to await further proceedings.
