Wayland-based Troopers investigate serious crash

On September 2, 2016, at approximately 7:28 p.m., State Police in Wayland investigated a one car serious injury accident on Strutt Street in the Town of Springwater, Livingston County, NY.
The operator of the southbound vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the eastbound shoulder. The vehicle overturned and the front seat passenger was ejected and was airlifted to Strong Hospital with serious injuries..
The operator and the other passenger were transported to Strong Hospital with injuries. The investigation is continuing at this time.

UPDATE:
The operator, Sebastian Armeli, age 20, from Wayland was driving southbound on Strutt Street at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the east shoulder of the roadway and overturned.
Sebastian was taken to Strong Hospital with minor injuries.
A passenger, Thomas Hough, age 19, from Wayland was also taken to Strong Hospital with minor injuries.
The second passenger, Kyle Halsted, age 18, from Springwater was ejected from the vehicle and airlifted to Strong Hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation is continuing at this time.
