Wellsville, NY- The Wellsville Creative Arts Center will host Wanda Dean in a show oil and alkyd paintings from September 19 to November 12, 2016. There is no cost to the public for this exhibit and there will be several pieces available to purchase.
The Wellsville Creative Arts Center will be open Monday and Friday 10am-4pm, Tuesday and Thursday and Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Wednesday 10 a.m.-10 .p.m, with extended hours for classes and events. Wanda Dean is a painter, native to the Wellsville area. Her paintings have been shown in galleries and other venues nationally. She has studied under Clara Katherine Nelson, Cole Young, and Fred Lipp.Her in art and creativity began at an early age. Growing up in a rural country setting, she developed a love for the forest and trees. She works mostly with oils and alkyds, because she feels they provide the richest colors. She states,
“The most important part of being an artist is enjoying creating something from the passion I feel for whatever inspires me to start a painting.”
Wanda conveys a mystic quality through color and expression. She finds inspiration from the landscape of Western New York and her travels. She strives to inspire her viewers to feel the same passion that motivates her work.
