Wellsville Creative Arts Center Prepares to Celebrate 10th Anniversary

Wellsville, NY - The Wellsville Creative Arts Center, now a staple in the Wellsville community, was opened in 2006, when Andy Glanzman, Owner and President of Northern Lights Candles, also based in Wellsville, wanted to save a piece of Wellsville history and architecture.  He purchased the old Carter’s Hardware building after witnessing several historical buildings torn down.  He spent over a year restoring the building to its 19th century glory.

The Wellsville Creative Arts Center now offers art classes year-round, live music, art exhibitions and a delicious café.

The arts center will celebrate its 10th anniversary on Saturday, September 17, from 4-11p.m., with an extravagant celebration including many free activities for the community to come and enjoy.  Admission is free and there will be an open studio with tours and live demonstrations from 4-8 p.m., as well as an art sale to benefit the ceramics studio at the WCAC.  There will be free appetizers from 4-5 p.m. in the upstairs café and guests are welcome to order dinner to enjoy before the free live concert featuring “The Mystic Twangers” from 8-11pm.  Other activities include a photo scavenger hunt, a basket raffle featuring classes, café treats and items from the Little Gem, and many more, free events!  Stop by and join the fun!
