Wellsville Police Blotter

Wellsville Police arrested Michael J. Skinner, age 42 of Belmont, charging him with DWI, DWI w/BAC of .08% or more, No/Insufficient Tail Lamps and Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle.  The charges stem from a traffic stop on Coats Street in the Village of Wellsville.  Skinner was processed and released to a third party.  Skinner is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on September 27th at 4:30 p.m.

Wellsville Police arrested a 18 year old Wellsville youth, charging him with Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer in a motor vehicle 3rd, following a vehicle pursuit that started in the Village of Wellsville.  The youth was additionally charged with 3 counts of Speed in Zone, 4 Counts of Failure to stop at a stop sign, Reckless Driving, Failure to Comply with a Lawful Order, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Failure to Keep Right, Unlicensed Operator and Operating without Insurance.  The youth was arraigned before Wellsville Village Judge O’Connor.  The youth was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $1,500.00 cash bail.  The youth is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on October 4th at 4:30 p.m.
