Woman gets jail time in Allegany County Jail inmate drug case

A Salamanca woman who had faced five counts, four of them felonies, has pleaded guilty to a single misdemeanor charge in Allegany County court. Jennifer L. White, 33, of East State Street entered a plea to criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree.
Prosecutors said the crime occurred two years ago at a boat launch at Rushford Lake. White was accused of leaving drugs in a public bathroom. A jail inmate, at the Lake on a work detail, was supposed to pick up the drugs and smuggle them to the county jail. Judge Terrance Parker sentenced White to one year in jail.
