Fire companies planning for prevention week

Cuba Fire Department
As part of National Fire Prevention Week, Sunday, October 9 through Saturday, October 15, 2016, Cuba Fire Department (CFD), New Hudson Fire Company, and Rushford Fire Department will be conducting demonstrations at Cuba-Rushford Elementary School on Thurs., Oct. 13. CFD encourages parents, caregivers, educators, and community members to always promote fire safety practices and to maintain fire safety awareness all year long—not just during Fire Prevention Week. This year's theme is "Don't Wait: Check the Date! Replace Smoke Alarms Every 10 Years."
Are you interested in having a demonstration for your organization? Contact any CFD member to assist you further with arranging a fire prevention demonstration.
Join Sparky the Fire Dog in fire prevention education! Teachers and parents may visit both and for information on free e-books, fire safety apps, e-cards, music videos, and interactive math and phonics games and activities that promote fire safety. Activities are available for ages pre-k through fifth grade. Also, sign up for the National Fire Protection Association's (NFPA’s) public education newsletter “Safety Source” which provides the latest information on activities, fire statistics, trends, education tips, and more.
CFD wishes you and your family a safe and happy Fire Prevention Week.
