No injuries in Wellsville bus and car crash

Shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday, there was a car versus school bus collision in Wellsville. The incident occurred on the Genesee Parkway near Fair Street in the village. Steven Walker of Andover, a passenger in the car, said his wife, Sue was headed eastbound and they intended to turn onto Trapping Brook Road to "leaf peep" when the collision occurred. Walker said there was some 'lane' confusion prior to the turn and their vehicle was struck as a Wellsville School bus exited Fair Street. Damage was minimal. The bus and vehicle were able to drive from the scene. Authorities said there were six children, an aide and the driver on the bus. No one reported injuries. No one reported in juries inn the passenger vehicle.
As with any dispatch of a bus-involved collision, there was a large response from emergency services. Police called it "an accident" and said there would be no charges.
