Allegany County: Friendship man gets jail time in DWI accident case

Following a guilty plea to a felony DWI charge in county court, a Friendship man was sentenced to one year in the Allegany County Jail. Todd A. Howard, 29, of West Main Street entered his plea on Monday before Judge Thomas Brown. Prosecutors said that on July 27, 2016, Howard was involved in a vehicle crash and was drunk at the time. He was also supposed to be driving a vehicle with an ignition interlock device and wasn't. In addition to the jail sentence, Howard's license was revoked for one year, and he (again) was ordered to use an ignition interlock device for the next three years. He must also pay court costs.
