Cold Case Tuesday – State Police continue to investigate the 2002 discovery of unidentified remains in Wayne County. 
On August 29, 2002, the body of an unidentified female was discovered in a wooded area, adjacent to a fishing access roadway, off West Port Bay Road in the Town of Wolcott, Wayne County, New York. 
It is estimated that the body was left at this location sometime between late June and early August 2002. Due to the state of decomposition, identification of the body has been extremely difficult. It is believed that this female was between 20 and 40 years old, and was 7 months pregnant at the time of her death. 
The specific race of this female is unknown, but indicators show that she may be Hispanic, Black or of a mixed race.
