Hornell man faces drug charges

INTERSTATE 390: Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of a Hornell man following a traffic stop on the Sheriff’s Office Operation Safe Interstate initiative on Interstate 390.
On November 13th, Deputy Shawn Whitford stopped a vehicle for a vehicle and traffic law violation on Interstate 390.   During the roadside interview, the Deputy Sheriff detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle.
Following the investigation, 30-year-old Phillip Hann was allegedly found to be in possession of Oxycodone pills, Hydrocodone pills, and 55 grams of Marijuana. Hann was taken into custody and charged with 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 5th Degree.
Hann was turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.   Hann was arraigned on November 14th before Justice Torregiano in Avon Town Court.  The Judge remanded Hann to the custody of the Sheriff on $500 cash or $1,000 bond.
