Obituary: Dolores A. Roeske, 82, Wellsville

WELLSVILLE - Dolores A. Roeske, 82, of 1905 Roeske Road, passed away on Thursday (Nov. 3, 2016) in the Highland Healthcare Center, following an extended illness. She was born in Olean on Dec. 28, 1933, the daughter of Rudolph and Anna Neporadny Germack.On May 16, 1953, in Eldred, Pa., she was married to David K. Roeske, who predeceased her on Feb. 10, 2007. She had resided in Olean prior to moving to Wellsville in 1953. She was a graduate of Olean High School and the Olean Business Institute. She had been employed at the Outdoor Store of Wellsville, the Wellsville Central School cafeteria and in 1981 retired as a caseworker for the Allegany County Department of Social Services. She was a life member and past president of the Wellsville Fire Department Auxiliary, an honorary member of the Duke Hose Company of Wellsville and a member of the Immaculate Conception Church of Wellsville. She enjoyed crafts, cooking, baking and painting. As an avid outdoors woman, she especially enjoyed camping trips with her husband, as well as time spent with her family. Surviving are daughters Katherine A. (James) Ball and Maria L. (Jack) Harris, both of Wellsville; sons David S. (Carla) Roeske, Michael A. (Theresa) Roeske and Rudy A. (Julie) Roeske, all of Wellsville; and 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and husband.Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday at the Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home in Wellsville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday (Nov. 7, 2016). Burial will be in the Hallsport Union Cemetery in the Town of Willing. Memorials may be made to the Duke Hose Company, 80 Stevens St., Wellsville, NY, 14895, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
