Elwyn grew up on the family farm on Gleason Hill and graduated from Belfast central School class of 1949. After graduation, he worked on the family farm and at the same time sold Forney Welders. For a short time he was employed at the Friendship Diaries after which he was employed at Acme Electric Corp. in Cuba and Allegany. He was always there to lend a helping hand to all those who needed help with anything from a ride to fixing a car or tractor. Most of all, his love was eating with and visiting with all his family and many friends.
